Born and raised in Munich, Germany, Dr. Korn received his doctorate degree at the prestigious University of Vienna (1999). Being recognized for exceptional academic achievements, Dr. Korn was offered to pursue his training in Surgery at the Cornell University / New York-Presbyterian Hospital (2000-2005). Subsequently he completed his Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery training at the combined program of Cornell and Columbia University (2005-2007). Furthermore, he gained expertise in using the newest surgical techniques at world renowned centers for reconstructive surgery, such as the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Hospital for Special Surgery, as well as the University Hospital Gent in Belgium.
Dr. Korn is Board certified in Surgery (2006). He is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the New York Medical College. Dr. Korn is also candidate-member of professional societies including the American College of Surgeons, and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He authored multiple articles in leading surgical journals and has presented his work at numerous conferences. He was the honorary recipient of the Dicran Goulian Award for Academic Excellence (2006). Dr. Korn is also an accomplished concert-level flutist and pianist. He studied at the conservatories in Hamburg and Vienna and has performed in numerous concerts.
Dr. Korn is dedicated to provide comprehensive care in all areas of plastic surgery with clinical focus on reconstructive and aesthetic breast surgery, microsurgery (including perforator flaps, DIEP flaps), and aesthetic and reconstructive surgery of the face.
