Skin Resurfacing at Our New York Medical Spa
Our on-site medical spa offers day spa pampering with doctor's office quality for safety, training, and precision. Let our trained and experienced staff of plastic surgeons and estheticians pamper and renew your skin by choosing one of our non-surgical resurfacing options.
Microdermabrasion
We remove dull, dead skin cells with a spray of micro-fine particles to reveal softer, fresher looking skin. This process reduces hyper-pigmentation caused by sun exposure and softens fine lines. It also increases collagen production to increase your skin volume and smooth wrinkles. We then apply a vitamin serum to nourish the deeper layers of skin and finish off with a complimentary Echo2 Plus™ Oxygen Treatment of regenerating vitamins and minerals. There is no down time, so you can stop in for a treatment during your lunch hour!
Glycolic Peel
This light chemical peel uses alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) to remove only the outermost layers of damaged skin, improving wrinkles, acne, uneven pigmentation, and dryness. It does not involve the discomfort and recovery period of deeper peels.
Refinity™ Peel
This medium strength peel corrects wrinkles, sun damage, and uneven pigmentation with a minimal recovery period of only about a day.
Obagi Blue Peel®
This deep peel penetrates to the papillary level of the skin and fades brown spots, smoothes rough skin and wrinkles, and corrects uneven pigmentation. Within 2 to 3 days after treatment your skin will begin to peel. This process will last about 7 to 10 days as your fresher, clearer, smoother skin is revealed.
We are happy to help you decide which medical spa resurfacing option is best suited for you when you visit us at your personalized consultation. Because aesthetic plastic surgery is also our specialty, we can suggest a variety of facial surgery options as an alternative.
Additional Considerations
It is essential to protect your newly resurfaced skin from the sun for the first year after any resurfacing treatments to avoid uneven pigmentation. By doing so, you will have the added bonus of maintaining your improvements longer.
