Implant material

Implant location
Implants can be placed underneath or on top of the chest muscle.
Incision location
Incisions can be made around the bottom of the areolas, in the fold below the breasts, or in the armpits.
Your surgeon will also explain the risks and possible complications of this surgery. Breast implants can interfere with breast self-exams and mammograms, and will eventually need to be replaced. What to Expect

The surgery is performed - either under heavy sedation or general anesthesia - in our on-site, outpatient facility. You will need someone to drive you home and help you out for a few days after your procedure.
Although you will initially need to rest and sleep in an inclined position, you should be up and moving around within a day or two. You should be ready to return to light activity, including work, after about 5 days. More vigorous activity and exercise will be limited for at least the first month.
Your surgeon will teach you techniques to encourage proper healing, such as restricting arm movement and performing regular massage during your recovery period. These simple precautions will greatly contribute to positive end results.
