Improvements from BOTOX Cosmetic in New York

BOTOX Cosmetic helps smooth creases and wrinkles caused by facial muscle movement. It is one of the most popular non-surgical cosmetic treatments in our New York medical spa, and across America, because it:

  • Diminishes wrinkles around the eyes (crow’s feet)
  • Smoothes out creases from across the forehead or between the eyebrows
  • Requires minimal recovery time
  • Offers a temporary alternative to plastic surgery, such as face lift and eyelid surgery, when you have minimal creasing

The improvements our New York BOTOX patients receive from their injections last about 3 to 6 months. After 1 or 2 initial touch-ups, some patients have found that their improvements last even longer. This treatment will not improve wrinkles caused by aging or sun damage – it is effective for treating wrinkles due to muscle movement.

Instead of BOTOX Cosmetic, you might benefit from injectable facial fillers like Restylane®, Radiesse®, or JUVÉDERM®. In cases of advanced wrinkling or patients over age 65, facial cosmetic surgery in our New York offices might be more appropriate than injectable treatments. We will help you decide which cosmetic procedure or medical spa treatment will best achieve the results you are hoping for when you visit us for your consultation.

What to Expect From New York Botox Injections

Although our New York practice offers BOTOX Cosmetic as a medical spa treatment, your injections will be performed by one of our experienced and skilled physicians. They will inject the product using a very fine needle at various sites near, but not necessarily on, the wrinkles being treated. Depending on the number of areas being treated, the process will usually take about an hour.

Aftercare for BOTOX Cosmetic is very minimal – that’s one of the reasons it’s so popular in our New York medical spa! You can usually drive yourself home or back to work after treatment, so no one will know. Try to avoid putting pressure on the injected areas for about 4 to 5 hours after your procedure to restrict the product from migrating to other areas of the face.

Within about a week, your improvements will begin to appear as muscle movement ceases and the wrinkles relax. You will probably also begin to notice yourself looking more refreshed, more awake, and more attractive. Let the professionals in the medical spa at the New York Group for Plastic Surgery show you how easy it is to improve your look with BOTOX Cosmetic.
