Dr. Alice S. Yao is a New York Plastic Surgeon who specializes in microsurgery and complex reconstructions of all body areas. She has a particular interest and advanced training in plastic surgery technology, including computer-assisted design and modeling for head & neck surgery as well as minimally invasive robotic muscle harvest for breast reconstruction.
Dr. Yao is a member of the Mount Sinai Doctors New York Group for Plastic Surgery and an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Division of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery in the Department of Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
Dr. Yao received her undergraduate degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She earned a Doctor of Medicine from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha. Dr. Yao then completed her residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Thereafter, she underwent fellowship training in Microvascular Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.
