Dr. Tomer Avraham is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and specializes in microsurgical and implant based breast reconstruction, head and neck reconstruction, microsurgical techniques, abdominal and chest wall reconstruction, body contouring, and aesthetic surgery.
Dr. Avraham is a member of the Mount Sinai Doctors New York Group for Plastic Surgery and the Division of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery in the Department of Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
Dr. Avraham received his undergraduate degree in Biology with a minor in History from Tufts University, and subsequently earned his medical degree from the Tufts University School of Medicine. Dr. Avraham has had extensive training, including residency training in the Department of General Surgery and at the Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery, at NYU Langone Medical Center. Additionally, Dr. Avraham completed a three-year basic science Research Fellowship in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, during which he was able to secure prestigious grant funding and author nearly twenty publications. Most recently, Dr. Avraham underwent additional specialized training, completing a Microsurgery Fellowship at NYU Langone Medical Center’s Institute of Reconstructive and Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Avraham has an impressive track record of publishing clinical research as well, and has presented his work at many national meetings.
