Dr. Jordan M.S. Jacobs is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is a highly accomplished cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgeon practicing in both New York City and Westchester County.
Dr. Jacobs is Chief of the Cleft and Craniofacial Teams at Maria Ferari Children’s Hospital. He is an Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital. He has been an international volunteer for several years, most recently performing reconstructive surgery on children in Honduras as part of the World Pediatric Project.
Dr. Jacobs received his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and his M.D. from Jefferson Medical College. He completed his General Surgery and Plastic Surgery training at NYU Langone Medical Center. He completed a Craniofacial and Pediatric Plastic Surgery fellowship at NYU Langone Medical Center. He has received numerous Patients’ Choices Awards and has been recognized as a leading plastic surgeon by America’s Top Doctors and New York Super Doctors Rising Stars in The New York Times.
Dr. Jacobs is an expert in breast reconstruction. He has several years of experience in one-stage, direct-to-implant reconstruction. He has performed hundreds of autologous breast reconstructions utilizing a patient’s own tissue to reconstruct their breasts after cancer. He performs Deep Inferior Epigastric Perforator (DIEP), Superficial Inferior Epigastric Artery(SIEA), Profunda Artery Perforator (PAP), and Transverse Upper Gracilis (TUG) flaps.
Dr. Jacobs has specialized, world-class training in aesthetic surgery of the face, breasts, and body. He believes in a highly personalized and compassionate approach to meet the goals of each of his patients. Utilizing 3-D imaging and computer simulation software, he is able to offer realistic results during the preoperative consultation.
Craniofacial and Pediatric Plastic Surgery
Dr. Jacobs is fellowship-trained in Pediatric and Adult Craniofacial Surgery. He is an expert in complex reconstructions of the face in both adults and children resulting from congenital, post-traumatic, or cancer deformities.
Dr. Jacobs has spent several years utilizing Virtual Planning of complex facial surgeries to improve patient outcomes. His research on this subject has been published in several peer-reviewed journals.
